Customer Service Booking Administrator
Job Description
Posted 2 Jun 2026Join AJ Chambers in Stanford-le-Hope as a Customer Service Booking Administrator supporting a busy logistics operation and a key customer account. This is a fully office-based, full-time role (8:30am–5:30pm) with an initial 12-month fixed-term contract and a competitive salary of £25,000–£30,000 per year.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage end-to-end job rating for one key account, ensuring accuracy and compliance with agreed tariffs
- Check rates, apply correct ancillaries, and resolve discrepancies promptly
- Raise and validate invoices, supporting timely and accurate billing
- Review weekly RCNs and investigate variances with internal teams
- Maintain clear records, update systems, and provide professional customer support via phone/email
What You’ll Need
- Previous experience in administration, customer service, logistics, transport, or billing/invoicing
- Strong attention to detail and confidence working with rates, charges, and data on screen
- Excellent communication skills and ability to liaise calmly with stakeholders
- Competent IT skills (MS Office/Excel) and ability to learn internal systems quickly
