Videographer & Editor (YouTube / Documentary Style)

Overview

The Obsessed Group is building a media brand documenting the real journey of growing and acquiring businesses across the UK – shared through YouTube, podcast, and live media.

This role sits directly alongside the founder – a professional speaker who has trained 10,000+ entrepreneurs and regularly works across the UK business community.

You will be filming the story behind the decisions, the conversations, the acquisitions and the growth of the group.

You’ll be having direct input onto how the story is told to the world to grow the YouTube channel and podcast.

The Role

You will work closely with the founder day-to-day, capturing documentary-style content designed primarily for YouTube (and wider media platforms). This includes:

• Shadowing and filming business activity
• Documentary / cinematic follow-around filming
• Editing story-led YouTube content
• Travelling to meetings, events, and acquisitions
• Suggesting creative angles, formats, and ideas
• Directing scenes and improving delivery on camera
• Helping shape the creative direction of the brand

This role is varied, fast-moving, and highly collaborative.

Essential Requirements

• Own professional filming equipment
• Strong videography AND editing skills
• Documentary / cinematic style essential
• Must prove ability before interview
• Based in Essex or able to work there regularly
• Willing to travel across the UK
• Comfortable filming in dynamic environments
• Full UK driving licence preferred
