ID1 Verify

ID1 Verify is an online identity verification service for HM Land Registry forms ID1 and ID2. If you are transferring, gifting or registering a property without a solicitor acting for you, HM Land Registry needs a verified form to confirm who you are. We complete it by live video call, so there is no office visit and no need to find a solicitor near you.

The whole appointment takes around 15 minutes. A practising solicitor checks your photo ID and proof of address on a short, secure video call, then completes and signs your form the same day. This is the ID5 video verification process that HM Land Registry introduced, and every appointment includes it.

Each ID1 verification is a fixed £79 per person, which includes the ID5 video verification. Overseas verification is £99. Same-day, evening and weekend appointments are often available, and booking online takes about a minute.
