Nursery Room Leader - Colchester

Prospero Teaching is recruiting a Nursery Room Leader to join a well-established nursery in Colchester, Essex. This is a fantastic opportunity to lead your own room, shape high-quality early years practice, and be part of a friendly, supportive setting where children and staff thrive.

Key Responsibilities
- Lead the day-to-day running of your nursery room, ensuring a safe, stimulating and inclusive environment
- Plan and deliver engaging, play-based activities aligned to the EYFS and children’s next steps
- Support, mentor and motivate room staff, promoting best practice and strong teamwork
- Track children’s progress, complete observations and learning journeys, and maintain accurate records
- Build positive relationships with parents/carers and work collaboratively with colleagues and leaders

What You’ll Need
- Level 3 (or above) Early Years qualification (or equivalent) and strong EYFS knowledge
- Previous experience in an early years setting, with confidence taking a lead role in a room
- Strong safeguarding awareness and a commitment to child wellbeing and positive behaviour
- Excellent communication, organisation and leadership skills; SEN experience is beneficial
