Tax Accountant

LGS Vision Recruitment is supporting a respected accountancy firm in Billericay to hire a Tax Accountant. This is a brilliant opportunity to step into a busy, supportive practice environment in Essex, with varied client work and real scope to develop your tax expertise.

Key Responsibilities
- Prepare self-assessment tax returns and associated accounts for a portfolio of individuals and owner-managed businesses
- Complete tax calculations, reviews and submissions to HMRC, ensuring accuracy and compliance
- Manage HMRC queries and correspondence, providing clear, timely responses and maintaining strong client communication
- Support and oversee Making Tax Digital (MTD) processes, including onboarding clients onto suitable software
- Proactively chase client records and documentation, keeping deadlines on track throughout the year

What You’ll Need
- Previous experience as a Tax Accountant / Tax Senior within an accountancy practice (personal tax focused)
- Strong knowledge of self-assessment compliance and confidence dealing with HMRC
- Organised, detail-oriented approach with the ability to manage competing deadlines
- Experience with MTD and tax/accounting software (desirable)
