English Teacher

TLTP Education is recruiting an English Teacher for a successful secondary school in Wickford, Essex, starting in April. This is a fantastic temporary opportunity to make an immediate impact, with excellent day rates (£210–£280 p/d) and a supportive environment for both experienced teachers and ECTs.

Key Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver engaging English lessons across KS3 and KS4, tailored to mixed abilities
- Create a positive, inclusive classroom culture that supports progress and confidence
- Assess, mark and track student work, using data to adapt teaching and raise attainment
- Contribute to departmental planning, interventions and enrichment where needed
- Maintain strong behaviour management and communicate effectively with pastoral teams

What You’ll Need
- QTS (or equivalent) with experience teaching English in a UK secondary setting
- Strong curriculum knowledge and the ability to teach literature and language confidently
- Clear behaviour management, organisation and a collaborative approach
- ECTs are welcome; a proactive mindset and commitment to safeguarding are essential
