CE HGV Driver

Major Recruitment is hiring a CE (Class 1) HGV Driver for a permanent role based in Chelmsford, supporting reliable trunking runs across a well-established network. Key Responsibilities
- Complete trunking runs between network depots with a focus on safe, on-time deliveries
- Carry out daily vehicle checks and report defects in line with compliance standards
- Manage paperwork/scan processes and communicate clearly with transport teams
- Drive professionally to meet road safety, WTD and company policies
- Support occasional weekend shifts when workload requires

What You’ll Need
- Valid CE (Class 1) licence with up-to-date CPC and Digi Tacho card
- A reliable, motivated approach and good route/time management
- Strong understanding of driver hours, safety and load security
- Previous trunking experience is desirable (but not essential for the right driver)
