What you will be doing
Working as part of the Warehouse team, the Warehouse Operative & Relief Driver plays an important role in ensuring customer orders are picked, packed and processed to a high standard. The aim is to get things right first time and consistently meet our customer service excellence targets. Alongside core warehouse duties, the role also provides essential relief driving cover to support deliveries when required, helping maintain a smooth, safe and efficient operation. This position supports the wider operations function and contributes to upholding the companys mission, vision and values.
You day to day responsibilities include: -
- Receiving and checking goods, carrying out stock checks and reporting any issues.
- Organising and rotating stock to keep the warehouse running smoothly.
- Picking, packing and preparing orders for dispatch, including labelling and loading.
- Using counterbalance forklifts to move and load goods safely.
- Provide delivery cover as needed, ensuring all goods are delivered and collected safely and on time.
- Complete vehicle safety checks, record defects, and maintain fuel levels and cleanliness in line with company procedures.
- Safely load, secure and unload materials to prevent damage during transit.
- Accurately complete and return all delivery notes, RMAs, internal transfers and related documentation.
- Drive responsibly, comply with traffic laws, and follow all QHSE policies to maintain a safe and efficient working environment.
- Keeping the warehouse clean, tidy and compliant with safety standards.
- Supporting the Warehouse & Logistics Supervisor with daily transport planning and dispatch.
- Completing general admin tasks such as printing orders, dispatch notes and filing.
- Making sure delivery notes and other paperwork are completed and stored correctly.

- Hold a valid, up to date counterbalance forklift licence
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to work as part of a team
- Strong awareness of Health & Safety practices within a warehouse
- Previous experience of warehouse understanding and its environment
- HGV2 (Category C) in date License, CPC and valid Tachograph Card
- Previous HGV driving experience
