Sustainability Manager

Success Talent is recruiting a Sustainability Manager (Group Product Sustainability Lead) for an ambitious, international product business based in Southend-on-Sea. This is a rare chance to build the sustainability function from the ground up, shaping strategy that keeps the organisation ahead of fast-moving UK and EU regulation while delivering real commercial value in Essex.

Key Responsibilities
- Own and deliver the group product sustainability roadmap across the UK and Europe
- Establish frameworks, governance, and reporting for product sustainability and compliance
- Partner with product, sourcing, and technology teams to embed sustainability into lifecycle decisions
- Track regulatory change and translate requirements into clear actions and timelines
- Lead data capture and performance metrics to evidence progress and support stakeholder reporting

What You'll Need
- Proven experience leading sustainability programmes, ideally within consumer products, retail, or manufacturing
- Strong working knowledge of product compliance and emerging UK/EU sustainability legislation
- Confidence influencing senior stakeholders and building cross-functional processes from scratch
- Analytical mindset with the ability to use systems/data to measure impact (IT/tech literacy beneficial)
