Join Ernest Gordon Recruitment as an Events Technician (Audio / Visual) in Harlow and take ownership of end-to-end AV delivery across standout live events in Essex and beyond. This permanent role is ideal for an experienced hands-on technician who enjoys variety, problem-solving, and working with a close-knit production team on conferences, festivals, luxury weddings and private events.

Key Responsibilities
- Set up, operate and pack down audio, lighting and visual systems for live events
- Support event production on-site, ensuring smooth running, cueing and troubleshooting under pressure
- Test, maintain and prepare AV equipment, reporting faults and keeping kit event-ready
- Work closely with project leads and crew to interpret briefs and deliver high-quality client outcomes
- Assist with loading/unloading and safe transport of equipment, following health & safety procedures

What You’ll Need
- Proven experience as an AV Technician/Events Technician with sound, lighting and event production knowledge
- Confident fault-finding skills and a calm, professional approach when dealing with tight timelines
- Strong communication and teamwork, with a customer-focused attitude on-site
- Full UK driving licence preferred; flexibility for evenings/weekends and occasional travel
