Project Design Manager

Professional Technical Ltd is recruiting a Project Design Manager on contract to support major water treatment programmes, based in Romford with flexible UK remote working. Key Responsibilities
- Lead design management across water treatment projects from concept through delivery
- Coordinate multidisciplinary design teams and manage technical interfaces
- Drive design reviews, risk management, and change control to programme and budget
- Ensure compliance with UK water industry standards, CDM principles, and client specifications
- Support stakeholder engagement with clients, contractors, and internal project teams

What You’ll Need
- Proven experience as a Project Design Manager (or Design Manager) within water/wastewater treatment
- Strong knowledge of design assurance, governance, and technical documentation
- Ability to manage multiple workstreams, prioritise effectively, and communicate clearly
- Right to work in the UK; comfortable working remotely with occasional travel as required
