HGV 1 NIGHT DRIVERS

Berry Recruitment is seeking reliable HGV 1 Night Drivers in Stanford-le-Hope for an ongoing contract with immediate starts. If you’re an experienced Class 1 driver looking for steady night work with a well-established national client, this is a great Essex opportunity.

Key Responsibilities
- Complete trunking and depot-to-depot deliveries on night shifts, keeping to scheduled times
- Carry out vehicle checks and report defects in line with DVSA and company procedures
- Ensure safe, compliant driving and accurate completion of tachograph and driver hours records
- Maintain delivery paperwork (PODs) and communicate effectively with transport teams
- Operate professionally on site, following health & safety and yard rules

What You’ll Need
- Valid UK HGV Class 1 (C+E) licence
- Valid CPC and Digital Tachograph Card
- Confident night driver with strong route planning skills (own maps/nav beneficial)
- A professional, safety-first attitude and good communication skills
