Senior Legal Counsel

Reed is recruiting a Senior Legal Counsel to join a respected in-house team supporting major infrastructure and logistics operations, based in Stanford-le-Hope with hybrid working. This is a standout Essex opportunity for a commercial lawyer who enjoys shaping strategy, leading complex matters, and partnering closely with senior stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities
- Provide commercially focused legal advice across high-value contracts, projects and strategic initiatives
- Draft, review and negotiate a wide range of agreements, managing risk and protecting business interests
- Support procurement, operations and leadership teams with pragmatic, solution-led guidance
- Lead on dispute resolution strategy and manage external counsel where required
- Help develop legal policies, templates and training to improve efficiency and compliance

What You'll Need
- Qualified solicitor (or equivalent) with strong post-qualification experience in commercial law
- Proven track record negotiating complex agreements in-house or within a commercial practice
- Confident communicator able to influence stakeholders at all levels, including senior leadership
- Experience in infrastructure, logistics, public sector, or regulated environments (desirable)
