Pure Resourcing Solutions is recruiting a Transport Planning Manager for a fast-paced, distribution-led business based in Witham, Essex. This is a hands-on, highly visible role where you’ll lead day-to-day transport planning and execution across a multi-site operation, making a real impact on service and cost.

Key Responsibilities
- Own daily transport planning, route optimisation and load building to meet service KPIs
- Lead and develop a team of planners, driving standards, pace and accountability
- Coordinate with depots, warehouse teams and third-party carriers to resolve issues quickly
- Monitor performance, compliance and cost, producing clear reporting and actionable insights
- Identify and deliver continuous improvement initiatives across systems and processes

What You’ll Need
- Proven experience in transport planning/transport management within a busy logistics or distribution environment
- Strong people management skills with a confident, collaborative communication style
- Working knowledge of transport compliance and best practice (e.g., WTD, tachograph, vehicle utilisation)
- Comfortable using planning software/IT systems and analysing data to improve performance
