Help setting up new laptop + Microsoft login mess

New Windows laptop is here but I’m stuck in a loop with Microsoft accounts and OneDrive and I can’t find any of my photos. Need someone to get it set up sensibly, move files from my old laptop, and make sure it’s backed up without eating all the storage. Prefer someone patient — I’m not thick, just allergic to pop-ups.
