New kitchen tap fitted (mine’s wobbling)

Bought a mid-range mixer tap from Screwfix and I’m clearly out of my depth. Current one wobbles like a loose tooth and the isolation valve under the sink looks ancient. Should be a straight swap on a stainless sink, but I’d like it tested for leaks properly so I’m not mopping at 2am.
