Shout out to the little greengrocers by Rayleigh High Street (near the entrance up to Rayleigh Mount) — their fruit’s been spot on lately and the prices feel fair compared with the supermarket. Also had a cracking coffee from the café tucked just off Websters Way after a wander round King George V playing fields. Any other Rayleigh independents you’d recommend, especially for a decent haircut that doesn’t cost the earth?
I’m still loyal to the market stalls off the High Street on a Saturday, but I’ll give that greengrocers by the Mount a go next time. For a no-nonsense haircut, I’ve had decent, reasonably priced trims at Rayleigh Barber Shop on London Hill.
That café off Websters Way is a little gem after a loop round King George V, isn’t it. For a cheaper haircut I’ve had alright cuts at Scissors on the High Street, but it’s worth booking as they get busy.
Totally agree on that greengrocers by Rayleigh Mount, their strawberries have been brilliant lately. For a reasonably priced trim, try The Barbers Shop on Eastwood Road near the old Fire Station, decent lads in there — what sort of cut are you after?
