Peekaboo Childminders Wickford

We provide childcare services for children from newborns to three years of age in Wickford, (on the WIck meadows development )conveniently located near Wick Country Park. Our approach emphasizes outdoor exploration and a variety of enriching experiences. I hold passes to several local attractions, including Hyde Hall, White Elm Petting Farm and Call of the Wild, which allow us to engage in educational outings. Additionally, we enjoy woodland walks, visits to parks and beaches, and participation in library programs, soft play centers, and playgroups.

These activities foster the development of essential social skills through interaction with peers and exposure to new and challenging environments. Children benefit significantly from these experiences, gaining independence, learning to follow instructions, and enhancing their understanding of numbers, colors, shapes, and safe interactions with others, all under close supervision to ensure their safety.

At home, we create a nurturing environment that encourages creativity and sensory exploration. I often set up a tuff tray filled with various materials—such as sand, water, rice, or themed items related to stories or seasonal activities—allowing children to engage in hands-on learning. This approach supports the development of fine motor skills and promotes imaginative play.

In addition to sensory activities, We incorporate storytime to stimulate language development and cultivate a love for reading. Arts and crafts are also integral to our daily routine, offering opportunities for children to express themselves creatively while exploring colors, shapes, and textures.

We believe in establishing a structured yet flexible routine that accommodates the individual interests and energy levels of each child. Our days include designated times for meals, naps, and quiet activities, ensuring that each child receives the balance necessary for healthy development.
