Posted 31 Jul 2026Join Chester Hall as a CNC Machine Operator and play a key role producing precision aerospace components in Essex. This is a permanent opportunity in the Benfleet/Wickford area with strong earning potential from £39,489 p/a and paid shift premiums.
Key Responsibilities
- Set and operate multi-axis, high-speed CNC machines to produce aerospace parts to exact tolerances
- Load programs, select tooling, complete offsets, and make adjustments to maintain quality and cycle times
- Carry out in-process inspection using micrometers, verniers, and gauges; record results as required
- Read and work from engineering drawings, work instructions, and quality documentation
- Support continuous improvement, safe working practices, and routine machine care/housekeeping
What You'll Need
- Proven experience as a fully skilled CNC Machine Operator in a precision machining environment (aerospace ideal)
- Confidence working with tight tolerances and high-quality standards
- Ability to interpret technical drawings and use measuring equipment accurately
- Flexibility to work a shift rota (7am–3pm, 3pm–11pm, 11pm–7am) with premium paid for evenings/nights
