Structured Cabling Engineer

DCS Recruitment is looking for an experienced Structured Cabling Engineer to support a national client on a high-quality install in Harlow, Essex. If you’re confident with copper cabling, terminations and testing, this is a great short-term opportunity with an 8am start and strong day rate.

Key Responsibilities
- Install copper structured cabling: pulling in, dressing and routing to standards
- Terminate and label data outlets, patch panels and associated hardware
- Test and certify cabling (e.g. continuity and performance) and complete basic results paperwork
- Install network hardware such as wireless access points and related containment where required
- Work safely on site, following RAMS and maintaining a tidy work area

What You'll Need
- Proven structured cabling/data cabling experience on commercial sites
- Valid CSCS/ECS (or equivalent); structured cabling/data comms card preferred
- Asbestos Awareness and Manual Handling (valid certificates)
- Ability to work independently, troubleshoot issues and deliver to deadlines
