Outreach Support Worker

Peabody is seeking a part-time Outreach Support Worker on a fixed-term contract to support vulnerable people across Harlow and the wider Epping area. This is a rewarding Social Care role in Essex where you’ll help customers build stability, independence, and confidence while working in the community.

Key Responsibilities
- Visit customers in their homes across Harlow and Epping, providing person-centred support to sustain tenancies
- Help people develop practical life skills, routines, and resilience to live more independently
- Support customers to access welfare benefits, health services, employment support and local community resources
- Complete support plans, risk assessments, and accurate case notes in line with safeguarding and organisational standards
- Work collaboratively with partner agencies, landlords, and internal teams to achieve positive outcomes

What You’ll Need
- Experience supporting vulnerable adults, ideally within housing, mental health, or community outreach services
- Good knowledge of safeguarding, boundaries, and trauma-informed approaches (training considered)
- Strong communication and organisation skills, with confidence working independently in the community
- Desirable: understanding of welfare benefits, tenancy sustainment, and local Essex support services
