Wood Machinist

Aldem Talent Ltd is hiring an experienced Wood Machinist in Romford to support a leading bespoke joinery manufacturer delivering high-end joinery, furniture and interior fit-out packages. This permanent opportunity in Essex offers steady work, excellent workshop facilities, and the chance to craft precision components for premium commercial projects.

Key Responsibilities
- Set up, operate and adjust woodworking machinery to produce accurate components to drawings and cutting lists
- Machine timber and sheet materials to tight tolerances, ensuring high-quality finishes and consistent output
- Read and interpret technical drawings, specifications and job sheets to meet project requirements
- Carry out routine checks, basic maintenance and safe tool changes to keep machines performing at their best
- Maintain a clean, organised working area and follow all workshop health & safety procedures

What You’ll Need
- Proven experience as a Wood Machinist within bespoke joinery, furniture manufacturing or interior fit-out
- Strong ability to read technical drawings and work accurately to measurements and tolerances
- Good knowledge of woodworking machinery, tooling, and safe workshop practices
- A reliable, team-focused attitude with pride in workmanship (CNC experience is a plus)
