HGV Mechanic

Join Adecco in Stanford-le-Hope as an HGV Mechanic and help keep a busy commercial fleet safe, compliant and road-ready across Essex. This is a permanent role with strong earning potential (OTE £62,000–£62,680) and a supportive workshop environment where your skills are valued.

Key Responsibilities
- Carry out scheduled servicing, inspections and preventative maintenance on HGVs and trailers
- Diagnose faults using electronic diagnostics and hands-on testing, then complete repairs efficiently
- Repair/replace components including brakes, air systems, suspension, steering, clutches and hydraulics
- Complete job cards, safety checks and compliance documentation to high standards
- Support MOT/roadworthiness preparation and respond to urgent defects to minimise downtime

What You'll Need
- Proven experience as an HGV Technician/HGV Mechanic (commercial vehicle workshop experience preferred)
- Relevant qualification (e.g., NVQ Level 3 or equivalent) and strong mechanical knowledge
- Confidence with fault-finding and diagnostic equipment; commitment to health & safety
- HGV licence and/or IRTEC accreditation desirable but not essential
