Has anyone got a good recommendation for a dog-friendly café in Rayleigh where you can actually sit for a bit (not just grab-and-go)? I’m usually around the High Street and the area near King George V Playing Field, and I’ve tried a couple of places but they can be hit and miss depending on how busy it is. Bonus points if it’s somewhere you can park easily off Love Lane or nearby — would love to hear where everyone goes.

Worth trying The Coffee Station up by Rayleigh High Street station — they’re usually fine with dogs and you can actually sit in for a bit, plus parking’s easier round Love Lane if you time it right. Are you after somewhere with indoor seating for the dog as well, or is outside covered seating ok?

Have you tried The Courtyard on the High Street? They’ve been sound about dogs when I’ve popped in and you can linger with a cuppa, and I usually manage to find a space round Love Lane if it’s not peak time.

Try the Wetherspoons on the High Street (The Rayleigh Weir) if you don’t mind a chain – they allow dogs in certain areas and you can sit as long as you like, and I’ve usually found parking off Love Lane isn’t too bad mid-morning. Have you got a preference for somewhere quieter, or just anywhere that’s reliably dog-friendly when it’s busy?
