ESOL Tutor

ESOL Tutor (Grays) with Prospero Teaching is a rewarding opportunity to support young learners in Essex with tailored English language tuition. You’ll deliver 1:1 sessions that build real-world communication skills, confidence, and progress—ideal if you enjoy personalised teaching and making a visible difference locally.

Key Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver bespoke ESOL lessons to young people across Grays
- Develop speaking, listening, reading and writing through structured activities
- Assess starting points, set achievable targets and track progress over time
- Adapt teaching approaches to meet individual needs, pace and learning styles
- Provide clear feedback, encouragement and strategies to boost confidence in English

What You’ll Need
- Experience teaching ESOL/EAL, English tuition or supporting learners with language development
- Ability to create engaging 1:1 lesson plans aligned to learner goals
- Strong communication skills, patience and a supportive, motivating approach
- Enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain one) and right to work in the UK
