Aspen Grange Care Home in Braintree is looking for a skilled Cook/Chef to create nourishing, comforting meals that make a real difference to residents’ wellbeing. This is a rewarding catering role in Essex where your kitchen expertise supports dignity, choice and enjoyment every day.

Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook a varied, balanced menu for elderly residents, including special diets and allergens
- Support the smooth day-to-day running of the kitchen, maintaining high standards of food quality and presentation
- Work with the wider care team to understand residents’ preferences and deliver a positive dining experience
- Maintain excellent food hygiene, cleanliness and safe storage in line with legislation and internal procedures
- Assist with stock rotation, ordering support and minimising waste while keeping service on schedule

What You’ll Need
- Proven experience as a chef/cook in a professional kitchen (care, hospitality or similar)
- Strong knowledge of food hygiene and safe working practices (Food Safety certification desirable)
- Ability to plan and deliver nutritious meals, including modified textures and dietary requirements
- A reliable, team-focused approach and confidence working Monday to Sunday on a contract basis
