Online Tutor

Prospero Teaching is recruiting an Online Tutor in Chelmsford to deliver high-impact 1:1 tuition for children and young people across Essex. This is a rewarding opportunity to support learners who may have SEN and/or behavioural needs, while earning £25–£30 per hour with flexible online delivery.

Key Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver tailored 1:1 online lessons in Maths, English or Science to meet individual learning goals
- Identify gaps in learning, set clear targets and build confidence, engagement and attainment
- Adapt teaching approaches for pupils with SEND, anxiety, SEMH needs or challenging behaviour
- Track progress, provide feedback, and adjust lesson plans to maintain momentum
- Communicate professionally with families, schools and Prospero Teaching to support each pupil’s programme

What You’ll Need
- Proven tutoring or teaching experience (UK curriculum) in Maths, English or Science
- Confidence supporting pupils with SEN and/or behavioural needs, using patient, calm strategies
- Strong lesson planning skills and the ability to personalise learning quickly
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain) and the right to work in the UK
