HGV Class 1 Driver

Workchain is recruiting an HGV Class 1 (CE) Driver in Harlow for a permanent role from day one with a respected construction materials operator. If you’re a newly qualified driver looking to build solid Class 1 experience in Essex, this is a great route into specialist work with training provided.

Key Responsibilities
- Complete Class 1 trunking and deliveries/collections of construction materials in line with schedule
- Carry out daily vehicle checks and report defects promptly
- Operate safely and compliantly, following drivers’ hours, tachograph and site rules
- Maintain accurate paperwork, PODs and basic customer communication on site
- Work closely with transport planners to support efficient, reliable service

What You'll Need
- Valid UK Class 1 (CE) licence, CPC and digital tachograph card
- A safety-first approach and professional driving standards (new passes accepted)
- Reliability, good timekeeping and confidence working Monday to Friday shifts
- Desirable: experience in construction, building materials, or specialist vehicle work
