Registered Building Inspector

Confido Consult Ltd is hiring a Registered Building Inspector (Class 2A) to join a well-established Building Control team based in Rayleigh, Essex. This permanent, full-time role offers a secure long-term opportunity with a supportive environment and the chance to broaden your experience across a varied local workload.

Key Responsibilities
- Carry out site inspections and assess building work for compliance with Building Regulations and associated legislation
- Review plans, specifications and technical submissions, providing clear, practical guidance to applicants and stakeholders
- Produce accurate inspection records, reports and correspondence, ensuring timely decisions and consistent standards
- Liaise professionally with builders, architects, homeowners and local partners to resolve compliance issues efficiently
- Support the team with risk-based inspection strategies and contribute to continuous improvement in service delivery

What You'll Need
- Class 2A registration (or equivalent) as a Registered Building Inspector
- Strong knowledge of Building Regulations, technical standards and inspection best practice
- Confident communication skills with the ability to explain technical requirements clearly
- A proactive, organised approach and commitment to high-quality customer service (experience on higher-level schemes is advantageous)
