Join Civic Recruitment Limited on a 6-month contract supporting a busy local authority team in Braintree. As a Waste Minimisation Support Advisor, you’ll help residents and partners access the right guidance to reduce waste, increase recycling, and strengthen sustainability across Essex. Key Responsibilities - Provide first-line customer and administrative support for the Waste Minimisation & Sustainability Team - Respond to enquiries from residents, community groups and stakeholders via phone, email and digital channels - Maintain accurate records, case notes and service requests, ensuring timely follow-up and resolution - Support the planning and delivery of recycling and waste reduction initiatives, events and communications - Produce reports, track performance data and assist with team coordination and meeting administration What You'll Need - Strong administration and customer service experience, ideally within a public sector or local authority setting - Confident communicator with excellent written skills and a calm, solutions-focused approach - Good IT skills (MS Office/Excel) and the ability to manage data accurately and confidentially - Desirable: interest or experience in waste, recycling, environmental services or sustainability programmes Why Apply Earn from £38,978 p/a (equivalent to £17.95/hr Umbrella) while contributing to meaningful environmental outcomes in Braintree.
