Has anyone else noticed a couple of dodgy-looking lads hanging about near Leigh Broadway and the alley by the Co-op towards Station Road in the evenings? I’m usually fine walking back from Leigh Station after a pint at the Peter Boat, but I’ve started sticking to the lit bits past Library Gardens instead. Would be good to know if anyone’s reported anything recently or if there are safer routes people recommend.
I’ve not clocked any trouble there lately, but the Co-op alley’s always felt a bit of a pinch point at night — I usually just stay on Broadway/Station Road and avoid cutting through after the Peter Boat. Might be worth a quick call to 101 if they’re there most evenings so it gets logged.
Not noticed anything dodgy myself, but that alley by the Co-op always feels a bit sketchy after dark so I usually cut through past the Library Gardens and stay on the main road. Have you seen them actually bothering anyone or just hanging about?
I walk back from Leigh Station most nights and if I’m heading to the Broadway I just take the main Station Road past the Library Gardens entrance rather than that Co-op cut-through. What time are you seeing them, is it after the Peter Boat shuts or earlier in the evening?
Yeah I’ve seen a couple of lads loitering by that Co-op alley off the Broadway around 9ish a few times, not sure if they’ve actually done anything but it’s put me on edge. I tend to stick to the lit route past Library Gardens too or go the long way via the High Street from Leigh Station.
