This part-time, permanent role (24 hours per week on a rota with alternate weekends) is a brilliant opportunity to make a visible difference to residents’ daily lives in a highly rated home (CQC Good; Carehome.co.uk 9.7/10). Key Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver a varied programme of lifestyle, social and wellbeing activities tailored to individual interests and abilities
- Build relationships with residents and families to understand life histories and create engaging, inclusive experiences
- Support community links, events and outings, encouraging participation and reducing isolation
- Work closely with nurses, carers and home leadership to align activities with care plans and wellbeing goals
- Maintain accurate records and ensure activities meet safety and quality standards
What You’ll Need
- Experience in activities, lifestyle, wellbeing, care or community roles (care home experience desirable)
- A warm, confident approach with great communication and organisation skills
- Creativity and energy to motivate residents of differing needs, including dementia support
- Flexibility to work rota hours, including alternate weekends
