Key Responsibilities
- Create offline CNC programs for milling using CAM software (e.g., PowerMill, FeatureCam; other packages considered)
- Program, set and support CNC milling on Fanuc or Haas-controlled machines to achieve right-first-time manufacture
- Interpret engineering drawings, 3D models and specifications to plan efficient machining strategies
- Select tooling, feeds and speeds; continuously improve cycle times while maintaining precision and surface finish
- Work closely with production and inspection to troubleshoot issues and maintain consistent standards
What You’ll Need
- Proven experience as a CNC Miller and offline CAD/CAM programmer within precision engineering
- Strong knowledge of Fanuc or Haas controls and multi-operation milling processes
- Confident reading technical drawings and using measuring equipment to tight tolerances
- Desirable: background in aerospace/defence/automotive or similar high-spec manufacturing environments
