Worth a reminder to neighbours to double-check cars and sheds are locked, especially if you’re parking on street. Has anyone reported anything similar recently, or got any tips on the best way to flag it to the local police without it becoming a whole drama?

Has anyone else noticed a few cars with their doors tried around Newland Street and the car park by Witham Leisure Centre this week? I’m usually fine walking back from the Red Lion past the River Walk, but it’s felt a bit dodgier after dark lately, especially near the benches. If you’ve seen anything or heard if there’s been extra patrols, can you share, and any tips for safe routes home would be appreciated.

Has anyone else noticed more dodgy behaviour around the station car park and along High Road near the Wetherspoons in the evenings? A neighbour on Goldings Hill said there’s been a couple of car break-ins this week, and I’ve seen lads trying door handles by the little parade of shops by Debden Lane. Worth keeping valuables out of sight and maybe sticking to the lit route past Epping Forest (Baldwins Hill side) if you’re walking home — would be good to hear if others have had issues or if the police have been about.
