NFP People is seeking an inspiring Head of Youth Work to lead high-impact youth services in Chelmsford, Essex. This is a standout leadership opportunity for someone who can blend strategic vision with hands-on delivery, building programmes that help young people thrive while supporting staff and volunteers to do their best work.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and develop youth work strategy, ensuring services are safe, inclusive and impactful across Chelmsford and wider Essex
- Manage, motivate and coach a team of youth workers, sessional staff and volunteers, creating a positive and high-performing culture
- Build strong relationships with young people, families, schools and local partners to expand reach and outcomes
- Oversee programme planning, safeguarding, reporting and continuous improvement, ensuring best practice is embedded
- Contribute to organisational planning, funding conversations and stakeholder engagement to drive long-term success
What You'll Need
- Proven experience in youth work leadership or a senior youth work role, with strong operational delivery skills
- Excellent people management, communication and stakeholder management abilities
- Thorough knowledge of safeguarding, risk management and inclusive practice
- Confidence using data and feedback to evaluate impact; relevant qualification is desirable
