Learning Support Specialist

Morgan Hunt Recruitment is seeking a Learning Support Specialist to support learners across colleges and sixth forms near Loughton and the wider East London/Essex area. This is a fantastic opportunity to make a real difference locally while gaining ongoing temporary work with respected education providers.

Key Responsibilities
- Provide 1:1 and small-group learning support to help students stay engaged, organised and confident
- Assist learners with study skills, literacy/numeracy support and coursework planning where required
- Promote positive behaviour and wellbeing, working closely with teaching staff and pastoral teams
- Support learners with additional needs, helping to remove barriers to learning in and out of class
- Keep clear, accurate notes and contribute to reviews, targets and progress tracking

What You'll Need
- Experience supporting young people or learners in an education, mentoring or youth work setting
- A patient, proactive approach with strong communication and relationship-building skills
- Understanding of safeguarding and a commitment to student welfare (training can be supported)
- Enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain one) and availability for ongoing temporary assignments
