Building Control Inspector

Flux Consulting Recruitment Ltd is seeking a Registered Building Control Inspector for a permanent role in Southend-on-Sea. Key Responsibilities
- Undertake an average of up to four site inspections per day across domestic and commercial projects
- Assess compliance with Building Regulations, approved documents, and relevant standards
- Provide practical guidance to homeowners, architects, builders and developers to support compliant outcomes
- Review plans, specifications and supporting documentation, producing clear reports and decisions
- Liaise with colleagues and stakeholders to resolve technical issues and maintain excellent service levels

What You'll Need
- Registration as a Building Inspector (RBI) with relevant competency level for the workload
- Solid working knowledge of UK Building Regulations and inspection processes
- Strong communication skills and a pragmatic, customer-focused approach
- Full UK driving licence and confidence working independently across Southend and wider Essex
