Prospero Teaching is recruiting a Part-Time 1:1 Outreach Tutor in Witham, supporting vulnerable learners including children in care, pupils with SEND, and those excluded from mainstream education. Key Responsibilities
- Deliver engaging 1:1 outreach tuition during the school day in Witham and nearby areas
- Provide tailored support in core subjects: Maths, English and, where needed, Science
- Adapt sessions to meet individual needs, learning gaps and EHCP/IEP targets where applicable
- Track progress and provide clear feedback to Prospero Teaching and relevant professionals
- Create a calm, consistent learning environment that builds confidence and re-engages pupils

What You'll Need
- Experience tutoring or teaching KS1–KS4 (school, tuition, or alternative provision)
- Strong subject knowledge in Maths and English; Science is an advantage
- Patience, resilience and the ability to build rapport with pupils who may be disengaged
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply) and the right to work in the UK
